Synopsis:

Shiree
One day, I'm doing my job and minding my own business...

Okay. Maybe sitting behind the desk of the richest, most powerful man in our city isn't considered minding my own business. But I'm only here because I'm doing my job. That part is true.

I'm a package handler at National Express, and today, I have a package for Mr. Charles Masters, billionaire and CEO of Launchpad Systems, biggest tech company in the nation. And, when I'm caught red-handed getting a little too comfortable behind his desk, he looks at me like he wants me to handle his package.

It's too bad he turns out to be a pompous caveman.

Except he's an incredibly hot pompous caveman. And I can't stop thinking about him.

I can't wait to tell my girls about this at the next Thirsty Thursday...

-------------------

Chaz
The board of the company I built from the ground up doesn't approve of the way I'm living my life. In fact, they don't just disapprove—they want me to change.

Their plan is to throw me a fake engagement party to show the world I'm a changed "family man" now. And my right-hand man sends that plan spiraling out of control when he sends the local package delivery woman into my office.

It's too bad she turns out to be so sensitive and unresponsive to my charm.

Except she's incredibly sexy when she's upset. And I have to make things right.

Maybe the board was right about this "family man" stuff after all...

My Review:
It is hard to put into words how much I loved this book. I was a little skeptical of it since it had some low reviews, but now I am thinking those people are just trolls and couldn't have possibly read this book. I am glad I gave it a shot and I will admit that it is now my favorite book read this year and it could very easily hold that spot.

I loved Chaz and Shiree. As people they are both wonderful. Completely different yet so similar at the same time. Both needing love in their lives and realizing things are missing. I know the feeling all too well and loved watching them blossom as people.

Chaz was dreamy for me. I loved getting to read from his side and know what was going through his head. His character could have came off as arrogant and "slutty" as they say in the book but I was able to see so much more to him even from the beginning. I loved watching him change into the person he wanted to be instead of the person he was used to being. He has the biggest heart and can melt even the coldest heart!

Shiree made me laugh through most of the book. I don't think it was intentional but I loved her strong will that she held onto, even when at times I wanted to shake her and tell her to stop being an idiot. I do understand her hesitance and don't blame her at all. I would probably do the same exact things she was doing. You eventually get to a point where you see fighting fate is pointless and just let it all go. I felt like she was a friend maybe even a sister as I was reading her side of things and just wanted to be there to talk to her and support her. I don't remember the last time I read a book that gave me that feeling of being in their lives. I usually read a book and love the characters yet I don't feel like I am a part of the life, I feel like I am either the character or just watching the character, but this one I felt drawn in as another character in the story like that is where I belong.

This book alternates between Shiree and Chaz. I loved that about this story because it is so complex with emotions and confusion it was nice to get both sides. You knew what was going on so you could judge it a little better with your own opinions. Some books stay on one side of things so you never know what the other ones thinks. This is a book that definitely benefits from the dual sides. The author does a wonderful job of sucking you into both characters and flipping them at the perfect times and making them blend so well.

You get a small cliffhanger at the end and a great teaser too! I can't wait to get ahold of the next books so I can follow them even more. I don't think I could get enough of this story/world!
