Two fractured hearts and a forbidden love they can’t deny.

You shouldn’t want what you can’t have…

Faye Donovan has lost everything. After her parent’s tragic death, she’s whisked away from her home in Ireland when an unknown uncle surfaces as her new guardian.

Dropped smack-dab into the All-American dream, Faye should feel grateful. Except living with her wealthy uncle, his fashion-empire-owning wife, and their seven screwed-up sons is quickly turning into a nightmare—especially when certain inappropriate feelings arise.

Kyler Kennedy makes her head hurt and her heart race, but he’s her cousin.

He’s off limits.

And he’s not exactly welcoming—Kyler is ignorant, moody, and downright cruel at times—but Faye sees behind the mask he wears, recognizing a kindred spirit.

Kyler has sworn off girls, yet Faye gets under his skin. The more he pushes her away, the more he’s drawn to her, but acting on those feelings risks a crap-ton of prejudice, and any whiff of scandal could damage the precious Kennedy brand.

Concealing their feelings seems like the only choice.

But when everyone has something to hide, a secret is a very dangerous thing.

My Review:
I love Siobhan Davis. She is a wonderful author and one of the sweetest women you will ever meet. I have read everything this woman has put out, but I have to say this book made me nervous. I actually took a while to even decide to read the book because I didn't know how I would feel about it. I can say that I still loved the book very much and she wrote it in such a way that you couldn't help but fall in love with all the characters.

Faye is such a wonderful character. I tried to picture her as Irish but since the book is written in an American style I had a little issue with it, but that is my fault not the author's. I felt so bad for all she had to go through with her parents dying and being moved to a different county. I know the feeling of loss well and it is hardest thing I have and will ever go through. I know I barely could make it through so the fact that she was able to go through everything that happens to her in this book is worthy of praise. She was such a strong willed character and it was refreshing. She made me feel a confidence that I wish I had when I was back in school. She wouldn't let anyone tear her apart and I was proud of her for that. She stood up for herself and what she believed in no matter who had anything to say about it. Even though she was headstrong, she was also very down to earth and a total sweetheart. Once you got past her wall you got a world full of love and acceptance. I definitely can't wait to follow her in the other books to come.

The Kennedy boys are a rowdy bunch. I won't say that in a bad way. They all seem to act like they have to hide that they have hearts from the world. All of them lash out to try to seem all big and bad, well except Keaton, he seems like a sweetheart the whole time. You get to know each of the brothers a little bit, some you find out more on than others. I feel like I really got to know Keaton, Kalvin, and Kyler. Keanu is missing in action due to his career so much and Kent keeps to himself to hide his pain from the world. There is also Kaden and Keven but since they are both at Harvard, you barely get to see them. I have to say I don't think I can pick a favorite brother, I love them all. I thought about it before I even sat down to write this and couldn't narrow it down to just one. It's a tie between Keaton, Kalvin, and Kyler.

In typical Siobhan style, there is indeed a cliffhanger....well let me change that, there are two. One you get in the last little bit of the book and the other one you literally get on the last page. It had me wanting to go run and get the next book, but sadly I'm in book limbo and having to wait for the next one to come out. It will be well worth the wait I am sure.

I loved this book so much and even with the taboo items within the book it was still very enjoyable and had me flipping page after page to see what happens next. I was prepared to possibly have this book as a Did Not Finish, but after the first couple pages, my opinion changed very quickly. I thought sci-fi was her thing, but now I see that this woman can literally write anything and it will turn out wonderful. Now for me to go nurse my book hangover and wish upon a magic star for the next book to come out!
