On the outside, 16-year-old Kyle Jenson is just quiet, but there is something that no one knows about him. Kyle’s secrets are surfacing again, and they are screaming loud this time. Kyle is pushed over the edge just too many times and his decisions will change his life and impact others around him for the worst. Even though he knows that there is no backing out, Kyle has to come clean with his problems and keep his secrets to himself, but he will go to drastic measures to make sure he gets rid of them, permanently.

My Review:
This is a book I wasn't sure if I would like it. It seemed a little dark by the synopsis and it isn't my usual read. I was taken by surprise of the story. Kyle sucks you into his world and makes you want to keep turning the pages to see what happens next. You want to go into the pages and give him a hug and tell him it will all be okay.

Kyle is such a sweetheart but is also a guy you can tell is struggling with himself. He can come across as selfish at first, but you find out that he isn't, he is just trying to get through each day. It was such a nice story to follow and watch him blossom into someone he becomes proud of.

The friendships that form in the story are ones that people strive to have in their own lives. I loved watching him meet new people and find out how they are going to mean to him later on.

This is a book that deals with suicide and rape. It will be rough on your emotions, but it isn't a book that will leave you wanting to cry at the end. It is a book that ends up giving you hope and a new outlook on life as you get up from your chair.

This is a book that you won't be able to put down. Kyle may want to give up on himself, but he has made sure readers won't let him do that. It is a good read for anyone with personal struggles that could use some help getting through!

  1. I love that feeling when I pick up a book that I normally wouldn't and read it and end up loving it. Sometimes we all need a dark and emotionally intense read I think so I'm glad this one worked for you. I'm going to add this to my Goodreads shelf!

Comments are loved and appreciated :) Thanks in advance!!
