You know that Abby Abernathy unexpectedly became Mrs. Maddox. But what do you really know?
Why did Abby pop the question?
What secrets were shared before the ceremony?
Where did they spend their wedding night?
Who else knew about it . . . and didn’t tell?
Everything about Abby and Travis’s elopement was top-secret . . . until now. Fans of Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster will get all of their questions answered in this whirlwind tale of the wedding day (and night!)—and as with all good stories, this one will definitely have been worth the wait.
I was so excited to be able to find out what happens during the wedding. It was a part in both Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster that was kind of skipped over. You know it happened and because of Walking Disaster you get to find out how they are years down the road, but neither book gave you details about the wedding itself. I was frustrated about it because of course, I wanted to know!
There was a lot more to them getting married than I knew. I didn't know that Abby did it for a certain reason and I was kind of wishing she would tell Travis why she was doing it. It wasn't until Travis gave her the envelope from his mom that I saw something in her change and put in her whole self.
I really enjoyed being able to follow the wedding as well as a year later, too. This book alternates between Abby and Travis as well, so unlike the first two books in this series, you get both of them in one book. I liked being able to switch it back and forth. They also overlapped so in parts where you wanted to know what the other was thinking, it would backtrack just a little so you could get both sides at that exact time.
Travis makes you want to cry in this book. The fear and happiness he has is breathtaking and heartbreaking at the same time. When you get to hear his side of things and the passion and need he has for the wedding gives you emotions that can knock you down if you aren't sitting already.
One thing I loved was the last chapter. To see all the people that came together for them, even the ones that didn't see to support them in the other books was so sweet. It was nice to see how they all came together and were able to work in friends with people that they didn't used to get along with. I enjoyed reading it and getting a little glimpse of some of the secondary characters.
This was a nice treat to go along with the books and helped me swoon and be all girly just a little bit longer :)
