Enter Gray Langley. His year-long crush on Claire's friend Lindsey has made him desperate enough to ask Claire for help. Hesitant at first, Claire agrees--anything to get rid of Lindsey's current evil boyfriend. But as Claire and Gray plot together, an attraction develops, and now she must decide if being with Gray is worth the pain that will come from confronting her parents with the reasons for her vow.

My Review:
This was a cute and fun book that I ended up reading in one sitting. You can't help but follow Claire and Gray as you watch them evolve into the persons they truly are.

Claire was a character that had a bit of a jealousy streak when it came to her best friends. She spent time with them often, well, to my eyes, but it wasn't enough for her for most of the book. You still feel bad for her at times, even when her "vows" come across as a little annoying at times. She has a childness in her that had me frustrated with her a bit, but I still enjoyed her despite all that. She blossoms at the end and comes to realize a lot of things and that change made all the difference to me.

Gray was a sweetheart. I enjoyed reading him as you got to watch him struggle between being tough and manly to him being very shy to the point he wants to pass out. He makes you cheer him on as you go through the pages. I was proud of him from the beginning and how much he really truly tries to get Lindsey. The parts where you are on his side of the story you really get to see inside his head and how he feels. I like how he started to change early on but just didn't know how to fix it at first, once he figured it all out, it was like he got his wings. He was who he wanted to be and had to go after the one he really wanted to be with. He wasn't a character that you could get annoyed with.

This book alternates between Claire and Gray's point of views. I liked that about the book because you were able to get both sides of the story as well as the whole story going as a whole. Sometimes books you want to know what the other one is thinking but you never get that chance. here you get to know both characters very well and it makes the story even better to read.

This was a book that I did find predictable. From the first few pages I was able to tell where things were going to head as well as the problems that would show up throughout it all. With that said, it didn't ruin the story at all. The author does a great job of still keeping you interested with the characters with the way she has it all flow together.

This book is set over the summer for all of them a little bit before school is going to start up. You get to follow them around between work and just plain craziness that keeps you reading for more.

Sometimes all we need is a nice blanket, a candle, and a good chick lit book to keep you going through the day. This is definitely a cute quick read that gives you the warm fuzzies when it is all over :)

About the Author

Patricia B. Tighe
I'm not the writer who's been writing for as long as she can remember. In fact, I didn't start writing fiction until I was almost thirty. But, I've always been a reader. Which, of course, is one of the basic requirements for being a writer. I've read everything from horse novels and spy thrillers to historical romance and fantasy sagas—and lots in between. There's something wondrous about picking up a book and entering a new world with new adventures. And I don't plan on stopping any time soon.

When I'm not reading, I hang out with my husband and two old dogs, plus my grown sons whenever I get the chance. In the fall I spend way too much time yelling at my TV while watching football. I'm also addicted to British TV shows. Top Gear, anyone?

Oh, yeah. And I write. Kissing books. Or at least books that include kissing. Hope you enjoy them!
