Top Ten Tuesday -- Top Ten Favorite Classic Books

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme brought to you at The Broke and the Bookish!! Each week we will be releasing a top ten book related list for you all to enjoy!

I haven't read many classics, So I decided to just pick my top 3 that I have read. I really need to change my amount of classics I have read, it is really sad :( What's even more sad is I read all of these when I was a little kid. I am going to re-read all of them in the next few months so I can remember them all over again :)

Top Ten Three Favorite Classic Books

1. The Voyages of Doctor Dolittle by Hugh Lofting
I read this book in the 5th grade. I don't know why I remember that is when I read it, but it is just when I did. It has been a long time obviously since I have read it, but I know I loved it very much. It was even a bigger book and I still had to read it, it sounded amazing, and it was! I hope to re-read this again sometime soon!

2. Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls

I don't remember when I read this book, I just know I was young. I would guess and say 6th grade, but I am not sure to be honest. I do know I loved it. I cried pretty bad at the end. I am scared to re-read this, but know I will probably read it in either July or August.

3. The Boxcar Children by Gertrude Chandler Warner

I read this back in I wanna say the 3rd grade. I didn't read much then, but picked this out at the library over the summer. The did a library program for kids that challenged me to read. This was one book that I read during that summer. I devoured it. I think I read it in 2 days and had to go back. I tried to read the other ones in the series, but I didn't like it. This was the only one I liked. I recently got Ainsley to read it, my best friends kiddo and she loved it too. I am going to be re-reading this in July so I can talk to her about it :) I am very excited to read it all over again!

  1. Oh nice! I don't remember reading The Boxcar Children myself, but I definitely remember seeing them as a kid! Perhaps a friend in a class read them!
