Top Ten Tuesday -- Top Ten Blogging Confessions

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme brought to you at The Broke and the Bookish!! Each week we will be releasing a top ten book related list for you all to enjoy!

I had fun this week with this one. I enjoyed racking my brain to try to figure out things to put on the list.

Top Ten Blogging Confessions

1. I LOVED reading Fifty Shades of Grey. I know so many people hated it, but I really enjoyed it and plan to read it again soon. I read what I feel like no matter the opinion of others.

2. I am a cover snob. Some books even if they sound good will take me forever to get to because I don't like the cover. If I have a book with a pretty cover, I tend to move it up on the TBR list.

3. I don't lend out my books. I have OCD when it comes to my books. They have to be in perfect condition. If something happens to one of my books, I end up going out and buying a new one just because of a scratch on the cover.

4. I have yet to read the Percy Jackson Series. I keep trying to get to it, I even add it to my monthly TBR list a lot, but somehow I always push it aside.

5. I'm bad about getting Galley books and then not reading them. This goes along with #10 with my hate for E-books. But I love the idea of being able to review the books for the authors, I just tend to forget about them.

6. I have probably read 1/3 of the books on my bookshelf. I know I'm horrible. I keep trying to get the list down of unread books, but I keep buying more so it is a never ending cycle.

7. I have an obsession with Faerie books. I didn't know how awesome they were, but now that I have found the world, I am sucked in. I even changed the look of my blog to include Faeries. I have also watched all the Tinkerbell movies because my obsession knows no bounds.

8. I tend to like the book series that most people don't think is very good. Twilight and Fifty Shades of Grey are big examples. I own all the Twilight movies and even own a reading copy of the series and I also have a collector's copy that I don't touch.

9. I have a bookmark collecting problem. I have 2 boxes full of bookmarks and yet I keep buying more. This wouldn't be a problem if I actually rotated all of them out of my books, but I tend to use the same ones over and over.

10. I hate E-books. Please don't shoot me. I like the idea of E-books. So convenient to read and all that. I just when I get down to it, I get headaches and just can't seem to let go of the feeling of a real book. The feel of it and the smell are amazing. Plus anymore I can end up getting most books for cheaper than the Kindle prices anymore. I do still read some review copies on the Kindle, but I am very picky with the ones I accept.

  1. I'm with you with the sheer amount of unread books in my collection too but I've given up worrying about it too much as I know I'll get around to most of them..... eventually!

  2. I have the same issue with owning lots of unread books. This doesn't stop me from getting more though, I tell myself I'll read them all eventually.

  3. I too can be swayed just by the cover. I don't know that the cover has ever kept me from reading a book. But it has recently bugged me when a cover was true to the story of the book. Oh and what about books that have the same cover? I came across that recently and it really bothered me. Then what's the deal with using the image of an actor/actress for the cover? That bothers me too.

    1. If a book is good enough and I hear enough about it, I will eventually read it even it a bad cover, but it will make me postpone reading it for quite a while. I haven't came across a book with the same cover that I know of, but I am sure I wouldn't like it very much. I would probably wait for a cover change on one of them before I buy them. Also I hate actor/actress's on the covers, I think it is them trying to plug them to get you to buy the book instead of letting the book speak for itself!
