Recent college grad Olivia Kelley just landed her dream job at the famed LA Public Relations agency, the PWR Group. She’s not looking for a relationship, and the agency has a no-dating clients policy, but when she’s tasked with handling overly-flirtatious 23-year-old bad boy actor, Austin Ford, keeping things strictly professional may be harder than she thought.

When Austin is caught cheating on his 19-year-old actress “girlfriend” Cassidy Evans, Olivia’s boss sends the celebrity couple on a romantic Hawaiian vacation to gain some positive press. She instructs Olivia to tag along to keep an eye on their behavior, but soon the getaway to paradise turns into a nightmare as Cassidy concocts a crazy new PR stunt, while Austin tries his hardest to take back control of his life. Olivia wants to help Austin, but is she willing to risk her job and future career reputation for the sexy, sweet-talking Hollywood player?

My Review:
The first book that I read by Rebecca was Merch Girl. It was a very fun and cute read, but very different from Player in Paradise. As I looked her up to see what else she wrote, I came across this book. It was very different, but sounded really good. I ended up having to order me my own copy.

It sat on my shelf for only a little while. I kept looking at it and really wanting to read it. I decided to look the book up to check out the reviews. I was shocked to see more negative reviews than positive. I was reading that people found their love to be too quick or they weren't able to connect with the characters. I think the exact opposite.

I loved being able to watch everything unfold. I loved how he had a player status even with a girlfriend, even if it is technically fake. All of that you get to watch change and it's wonderful. It felt real to me and I wanted to smack Olivia quite a bit. Most of the problems that happen within the story are either because she can't figure things out and wants to run instead of face the problems, or is was Cassidy. Cassidy is a character that really annoyed me. I kept waiting the whole time hoping she would get shut down. Karma isn't nice to those who screw others over.

I really enjoyed the characters and felt that I was able to connect with them throughout the book. Even the characters that were rude or pretty much evil, I was able to see them that way and understand them as people. I felt emotions towards all the characters and felt me wanting to keep reading about them. I spent the days that I couldn't read thinking of the book.

It was well written in my eyes. I enjoyed the writing and it definitely had a good flow. I was able to picture most of it, though there was A LOT of sex in the book, it didn't seem too much. I don't know what that says about me, but I did really like everything about the book.

I am glad that when I read the reviews I decided to take the challenge right then to see my opinion on it. It is nice to know that I can be different and enjoy a book even when others didn't like it. Seeing the reviews made me pick up the book even when the book wasn't in my TBR pile for the month.

This book very much deserves 5 stars. I loved every page of it and wish I could re-read it all over again just to keep with the characters. I hope all of you listen to my review and give this book a chance.
