Top Ten Tuesday -- Top Ten Books About Friendship

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme brought to you at The Broke and the Bookish!! Each week we will be releasing a top ten book related list for you all to enjoy!

I have to say I don't think I have read too many books that focus on friendship, but I am also sick and my brain isn't working right, so forgive me. I managed to pick 3 books though to share with you all this week :) I didn't want to pick anything random. I wanted to pick ones that actually affected me in ways that even after years between some of the books, I can still call them up just like I read them yesterday. I have a lot of other books that have friendships here or there, but none as strong as these 3 right here.

1. Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series by Ann Brashares

I read this series years ago, but I did recently acquire all the new covers of the books. I want to be able to re-read them sometime soon and enjoy them just as much as I used to. When I did read them, I wanted a friendship like the one in this series, I just didn't have it. But thanks to my blog I think I have found some that fill those spots :)

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)1588156

2. Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling

I don't think there is a friendship out there that means more to me than the ones in this series. Between Neville, Harry, Ginny, Luna, Hermione, Ron, and the Weasley Twins, I can't decide what my favorite one is. I know I love them all so much and no matter where they are, they find a way to stick together through it all. It is such a heartwarming thing that will affect me for the rest of my life.

3. Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead

This is the last story that the friendship really affected me. Lissa and Rose are so close that they would do anything for each other. Lissa is the wimpier one than Rose, but in some of the books she still finds a way to do the impossible just to make Rose happy. I loved it. Their friendship pulled me through these book just as much as Dimitri did.

  1. Harry Potter's trio is one of the best examples of friendship. Vampire Academy's Lissa and Rose is a great example as well. I had some trouble coming up with examples for this list as well, and I completely forgot those two.

  2. I ALMOST had VA on my list because that is a great one. We just have so many children's books around here that I wanted to highlight some of those as well. I knew you would have Harry Potter you crazy HP girl. (I had it too!) Have a great day!
