Top Ten Tuesday -- Top Ten Characters Who Stole my Heart

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme brought to you at The Broke and the Bookish!! Each week we will be releasing a top ten book related list for you all to enjoy!

I had a hard time deciding what topic I wanted to do this week. I really thought about doing characters that piss me off, but I just didn't think I could go over 5 of them. So I went with the one that I knew I could get a whole ten out of, characters who stole my heart. I have so many that I have just fallen for, that I just had to try to narrow it down to my top ten. They just have that special quality in them that makes them have a special place to me!

Top Ten Characters Who Stole my Heart

1. The Weasley Family
Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling

I couldn't pick just one of them. I love Fred and George. They are hilarious and more smart than most gave them credit for. I was always wanting to have them in the pages more. Then there is Molly and Arthur, they were wonderful parents to read about. I loved being able to have the interest of muggles from Arthur, and just how much Molly truly cared for her children, which she included Harry and Hermione as well. The whole family is wonderful and if I was in the wizard world, I would definitely be marrying Fred or George and become a part of the family.

2. Noah Calhoun
The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks

The love Noah holds for Allie is astonishing. Even from the beginning, she is the flame to his candle. I loved reading all about how much he holds on no matter what. It still brings tears to my eyes. I have to space out my reading on this book just so I don't destroy myself emotionally.

3. Edward Cullen
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

I have always loved Edward. As most of you know now from my recent re-reads on this series, I love Edward. I have a burning hatred for Jacob just because of how much I like Edward. He stole my heart a long time ago, and I doubt that he will ever be giving it back to me. His true passion he has for Bella is breath taking. He is always trying to do anything he can to make her happy, no matter the pain it causes him in return. He has a good old fashioned soul and I love that about him. #TeamEdward

4. Peeta Mellark
Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins

Words cannot describe Peeta. His is so selfless. No matter what he is always there for Katniss, even when she doesn't even realize it. He doesn't care if he is treated badly, he doesn't care if his heart gets broken very often. He still holds true to his feelings. He might not always be center stage, but he does his best to still do anything he can while not being so obvious about it. Even with all he goes through, his heart stays.

5. Tamani
Wings by Aprilynne Pike

This is the first Faerie I fell for. I could picture everything about him throughout the pages, even with him being a mythical creature. He stood around to do anything he could for Laurel, even when he got his heart broken time and time again. I followed him through all the books still holding hope that the poor guy would finally get a break. The David character made me so mad throughout this series. If I were to have done characters to piss me off, David would for sure be in the top 3. Tamani has such a wonderful heart and he isn't ashamed that he is a spring faerie. He takes it with stride and doesn't hide it. He loves his family so much and is so happy to be able to show them off when he can. I love that about him, he was definitely a family faerie!

6. Prince Ash
The Iron Fey Series by Julie Kagawa

Ash. What can I say about Ash that can really explain him the way I see him. Of course, he is a faerie. He is used to the cold, as his heart is also cold. Well, he tries to make it seem that way. But when his heart starts to beat again after such a long time, he is surprised by who made it that way. He is willing to give up his court, his life, his everything, in order to just be with her. He fights it for so long, but he just can't see to do it. Once he gets past that, he is so dedicated. I love that. He was one of those rough on the edges character that surprises you by how much they change when love, true love, becomes a part of his life. I think Ash might be my number 1 book boyfriend.

7. Christian Grey
Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James

I had such a soft spot for Christian. I did have one at first, but the more the books went on and the more things came out, you can't help but want to cry for him. He may be fifty shades of screwed up, but there are reasons for it. More than I ever expected to know even. I started to get protective of him throughout the books and I still am to this day. I defend this trilogy, and tell people that it is good. Yes, it is my opinion, but I hold onto it strongly and proudly. I hold onto it because of Christian. Ana was just any other character for me, Christian is the one who sucked me in and kept me reading.

8. Dimitri Belikov
Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead

This is the first character that I have ever read that I had a sexual attraction to. I have had others that I was like oh, he seems like he would be cute. Dimitri, I could picture all of him, his face, his body, his personality. He sucked me into the pages. I just finished this series less than 6 months ago, yet I want to run and read these all over again. I had the biggest hangover after this series. I didn't read for a few weeks after just because I couldn't get over him. He affected me pretty badly, my poor boyfriend had to watch me walk around the house moping for days. Dimitri tries to come across as this badass, but yet he is so soft inside. Every time he says Rosa, it makes me melt. I can hear it in my head, accent and all. Even when things went bad for him, I still held on hope somehow he would pull through again.

9. Prince Maxon
The Selection Trilogy by Kiera Cass

I didn't know how to feel about this guy at first. I had to try to figure him out. Granted, there is another book still coming out, but I don't think he is going to change who is in the final book. Even though he is royalty, he doesn't hold that attitude. He has to do what he must for him being royalty, but the young self he is is still around off duty. He is another one like Peeta, that sits there and lets him go through pain time and time again and hopes that it all works out. He knows no one is the one he wants except one, but he has to wait painfully to find out if she ends up returning the feeling as well. I know that can't be an easy thing to go with. To know you might have to choose someone you don't even want, just because he doesn't want to force anything on any of the girls. He is a wonderful guy and I support him all the way :)

10. Travis Maddox
Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

This goes along with the Christian Grey thing. Travis has such a strong past he is trying to hid from. he is trying to be the tough guy, because he doesn't want anyone to know the real him. Even he doesn't realize he is doing it. Until the one day Abby comes into his life. At first he finds it all funny, laughs it off really. But then all of his emotions come out, all of his fears. He now has to try to find out how he is going to deal with it all. He doesn't always deal with it right, but you are able to piece things together and figure out exactly what is bothering him so much. I love when you get to watch his shell fall apart and he just comes out into such a wonderful person!

Well, that's my list for the week! Hope you all enjoy!
