My Review:
I'm going to do mine a little differently this time. I am going to start off by things that I liked about the series and things I didn't like.

Then I will do a recap of all the other things I would like to say about the series :)

Things I liked:

  • The relationship between Ron, Hermione, and Harry. Even with their fighting, they still stayed close as ever.
  • The characters. there is SOOOO much detail in all of the characters. Even the small characters within the stories you watch grow as well.
  • The emotions the books give you. Even with the characters you hate, there is such strong feeling there. You love some characters, you hate others. You feel the moods that change throughout the book and you feel the same emotional roller coasters as not only Harry gives you but his friends as well. There are very few books out there that are able to pull this off flawlessly as Rowling has done.
  • The sense of family you get in the book. You know the book is fictional, yet you still feel as you belong there. You want to be a part of the different families. Personally, I feel I was meant to be a Weasley.
  • The descriptions. You can see everything going on within the story, from what the characters look like, to the scenes that you are reading about. I had no problem with the stories having to read through the scenes know exactly what it was talking about.

Things I didn't like:

  • The large words. This is supposed to be a kids series, yet there were words in there that were big even for me. I had to look up several of them just to see what she was really trying to say.
  • The length of the books. The first few books were smaller, well small in the sense of the rest of the series. It is easy to get through them. But towards the end of the series, the books get huge. I loved the stories and loved reading them, but I have a hard time thinking a kid can get through even one book in a year. Its very intimidating, even for an adult.

This series means so much to me. I was so scared to read it for the longest time. The books are huge and the hype around it is untouchable. I don't think there is a book series more known than this one. I was afraid I would hate it when so many love it. But I was wrong. I love it, and I think I have connected with it in a way even few others have. It has became a medicine for me. When I am having a hard time in life, I run to the movies to watch (they are quicker to watch than to re-read a book). When I am depressed or upset, I will spend a couple days rewatching the whole series. By the end of them, I am smiling again and done with whatever had me upset in the first place.

This does not mean I only watch them when I am upset. I also rewatch or re-read the series just because I feel like it. Like now, I read the whole series again just because I felt it was time to do so. I like to keep the books fresh in my mind as well as the movies, since yes, even Harry Potter movies have differences in them. I have worn out my reading copies to the point pages are starting to fall out of the books.

Harry Potter will forever have a special place in my heart. There is really not much I can say bad about the series, except the two small points I mentioned above. other than that, I love them so much and always will. I have bought a special hardcover set for me to hopefully be able to pass down to generations that will follow me in my family.

It has been there for me as I will continue to be there for the series as well. I know it will help my kid along when I get to that point in life and I hope they feel the same overwhelming love for it that I do. There are times I can think of this series and get tears in my eyes. I know, its childish, but that is the emotions I have for the book. I am still sitting here in a book coma after finishing the series for another time. I wish it would go on forever and ever. I would continue to read it for the rest of my life, as I will plan to anyway :)

Couldn't Put It Down!!
