Synopsis:

Fairy, Texas. A small town like any other.

Laney Harris didn't want to live there. When her mother remarried and moved them to a town where a date meant hanging out at the Sonic, Laney figured that "boring" would have a whole new meaning. A new stepsister who despised her and a high school where she was the only topic of gossip were bad enough. But when she met the school counselor (and his terminal bad breath), she grew suspicious. Especially since he had wings that only she could see. And then there were Josh and Mason, two gorgeous glimmering-eyed classmates whose interest in her might not be for the reasons she hoped. Not to mention that dead guy she nearly tripped over in gym class.

She was right. Boring took on an entirely new dimension in Fairy, Texas.

My Review:
The last thing that Laney wanted to do was pick up her life and move it to Fairy, Texas. She went to a school that sounds bigger than the whole town of where she is moving to. She is in a new ranch house with a Stepdad, a Stepsister that hates her, and her mom now travels most of the time for work. As she tries to do what she can just to get by, her first day of school wasn't what she expected. She definitely didn't plan to trip over a dead body while out running at the school. If you think that is the weirdest or worst thing to happen to her...think again. Maybe Fairy won't be so boring after all.

Let me confess here. I had signed up for the blog tour a while ago, but didn't know when my date was. I think my e-mail filtered it under spam so I never got the list. So I was a little shocked when I found out that I had two days to read the book for a blog tour. I was in a panic mode to be honest. I was just about to start the whole Harry Potter series, so I was thrown off a little bit. I am SO glad that I was told I had to review it. The book could have sat for a very long time being unread due to my rather large TBR pile.

This book is wonderful. I sat there stressed out reading it during the first few pages. Then I was sucked in, I couldn't stop reading it. I even told my boyfriend I was just going to read in the bedroom when he was home for lunch. I usually go sit and eat with him, but I just couldn't pull away from the pages.

You start out going into the book with her tripping over a dead body. Right away you know that something is off and it isn't an accident. Like any good book though, you know you aren't going to find out right away what is going on. She keeps your attention through the whole book.

The whole idea of this book is something new to me. I have heard of a lot of different things, but this book is a first for me. I am happy about that. originality is always a plus in my eyes.

Laney is the girl that you follow in the story. The poor girl just doesn't get a break. It is one thing after another. She's the shiny new toy in a tiny little town. Everyone is interested in her in one way or another. Mason is the football player that thinks he can get any girl he wants, including Laney. Is the one who he hasn't gotten yet and he is determined to try. Josh is the son of a rancher's hand. He doesn't have a good life set up so to speak. So when he walks into her class and Laney is speechless, it doesn't take long for word to get around about her staring at him. He is the last person they ever expected her to want. And for the record, I am Team Josh :)

As you would think, this book is set around the tiny town. It is mainly between her selling yearbook ads with Mason, her house, the school, and also she spends a lot of time at the local Sonic. Which is anyone of you don't know what a Sonic is, I feel sorry for you. It is delicious and has some awesome drinks!

I loved this book very much. I was sucked in from the first 5 pages and couldn't stop. I read the book in about 3 hours. Which I have to say is a record for me. Everything about this book just wouldn't let me stop. The suspense, the drama, the love triangle, even the ending was good. It was a little fast paced at the end, but it still ended nicely and closed on a good note. This is one book no one should miss out on.

Couldn't Put It Down!!
