Top Ten Tuesday -- Top Ten Reasons I Love Being A Blogger/Reader

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme brought to you at The Broke and the Bookish!! Each week we will be releasing a top ten book related list for you all to enjoy!

There as so many reasons that being a blogger/reader can make your heart swell! I can't wait to see what all of you guys pick for your reasons!

Top Ten Reasons I Love Being A Blogger/Reader

________________________________

1. Meeting Authors
It can be something as simple as an Author retweeted a post that I wrote about their book. I love just knowing that I am noticed by big authors, even for something small. I would also love to be able to meet some of them someday.

2. Blogger Friendships
I have met some of my dearest friends because of my blog.  I haven't met anyone that I can connect with and talk about books where I am from. So it is nice to be able to come on here and know I can find that person even if they are across the world.

My two best blogger friends are Amanda at I Solemnly Swear and Kristalyn at The Sarcastic Palmtree. Be sure to give them a chance! They are both amazing!!

3. Author Friendships
Upon signing up for blog tours or accepting review requests, I have met some wonderful authors. Some of which I have learned to call friends instead of just Authors.

One of the best Authors I have became friends with is Nikki, Author of Chasing Forever Down and American Girl on Saturn. Click Here for the link to her blog to learn more!

4. Breaking out of your Reading Comfort Zone
There are some books I find out about on my blog that I honestly wouldn't have given a chance at all. Those books have become some of my favorite books and have made me branch out more in what I do read.

5. The Feeling of Achievement
Every day I get a post done or a review written, I feel accomplished. I feel like I am making a difference in the world, no matter how small, by the posts I put up for you all to read.

6. Helping Indie Authors Promote their Books
There are some authors out there with AMAZING works, but they haven't been able to break into the published world. Us Bloggers can help them get noticed by our feedback we have on their books.

7. Finding out about Books I wouldn't have Found out on my Own
There are so many Indie Authors out there. It is so hard to keep up with all of them. This is where reading other bloggers posts come to help. We can all help promote different books to get all of us to give them a shot. I have found out about some awesome ones, just by giving the reviews a chance.

8. The Support of my Followers
I definitely wouldn't be blogging if it wasn't for my Followers. You guys give me the courage to keep going every day on my blog. I love the support I get from each and every one of you. Any comment I get on my posts makes my day every time!

9. Knowledge Gained from Books I've Read
There are so many books out there that when you read them, they destroy you and build you back up again. People think Fiction doesn't mean anything, but if you read a book like they are meant to be interpreted, you will walk away with an important life message most of the time.

10. The Push to Read More
I used to not read so much. I would get discouraged or lazy. I would use the excuse I will just finish the book tomorrow. I would say that on a daily basis. Now with my blog, I feel the need to read more, so I can keep content up for all of you guys to read. I am flowing through more books than I have ever read before and I am loving it every second of it. I am now to the point where I get upset when I don't have the time to read, I make time to read, no matter how small it may be.

  2. OOoh great list! I agree with all these too! Especially the reading outside my comfort zone one! Normally, I was an all paranormal girl. And while I haven't really expanded my horizons, love my paranormal and will never ever give it up! I have added dystopian to the mix! And the occasional thriller, like Kimberly Derting's Body Finder series--although with her powers, it does run the lines of paranormal!--and I am really liking my current read of Gretchen McNeil's 3:59! So yes, I have expanded my reading zones, somewhat when I believed I never ever would! (Also I do enjoy the occasional fantasy novel. But I think that stems from my love of the classic fairy tales and Disney! Plus when magic's involved, you can say it's very loosely paranormal! ;) )

    Here's my Tuesday post

    Have a GREAT day!
