Stacking the Shelves

I saw this book on sale outside of my local Books-A-Million. I won it a while ago, but sadly it got lost in the mail, so I never received it. When I saw it for only 4 bucks in hardcover I had to have it.

I lived in New Mexico for two years. I hated it at the time but now I miss it quite a bit. So the fact that this book is set in New Mexico, I had to read it and see how it is. You don't see many books set in New Mexico!

My better half ended up buying it for me since he had cash and he didn't want me to use my debit card for such a small purchase! I'm still counting it as my one book for the paycheck though!

By: Alyson Noel

Until now, he's existed only in her dreams -
but fate is about to bring them together.

I shove through the crowd, knocking into girls and bouncing off boys, until one in particular catches me, steadies me.
I feel so secure, so at home in his arms.
I melt against his chest-lift my gaze to meet his. Gasping when I stare into a pair of icy blue eyes banded by brilliant flecks of gold that shine like kaleidoscopes, reflecting my image thousands of times.
The boy from my dream.
The one who died in my arms.

Strange things are happening to Daire Santos. Crows mock her, glowing people stalk her, time stops without warning, and a beautiful boy with unearthly blue eyes haunts all her dreams. Fearing for her daughter’s sanity, Daire’s mother sends her to live with the grandmother she’s never met. A woman who recognizes the visions for what they truly are—the call to her destiny as a Soul Seeker—one who can navigate the worlds between the living and dead.

There on the dusty plains of Enchantment, New Mexico, Daire sets out to harness her mystical powers. But it’s when she meets Dace, the boy from her dreams, that her whole world is shaken to its core. Now Daire is forced to discover if Dace is the one guy she's meant to be with...or if he’s allied with the enemy she's destined to destroy.

That's all I got this week!
What all did you guys get??

  1. Fated has a pretty cover. I like your Ravenclaw badge btw. Where did you get it?

    1. I just got the codes for it and plugged it all into an HTML. I can email you the code for it if you would like it too!

  2. I am curious about this series. I could not get into the Evermore series, but I like the sound of this one. Happy reading! Seeing Grace's comment and your badge reminds me I need to log on to Pottermore and look at the next few chapters of Goblet of Fire.

    1. I read her Immortals Series. I thought it was okay, but that was all it was, just okay. I was annoyed at Ever most of the time. But I am hoping this series will be a little different!

  3. The covers for that Alyson Noel series are so pretty, but I can never seem to get into her books. Seems like the other Sarah (above) feels the same. :( I hope you love it though... I bet the setting being somewhere you love will help!

    My StS post

    1. I really tried to get into her books. I read all 6 of them, but they weren't that special to me. I really hope this one is better, especially like you said it is set in somewhere that i actually know!! Fingers crossed!!

  4. Its so great when the better half surprises you like that. Enjoy!

  5. Nice! Never read that one myself! Hope you enjoy it! You gotta enjoy those slow weeks since it gives you a chance to catch up on the TBR pile! Happy Reading!

    Here's my STS

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower :)

  6. I actually have a bad relationship with Alyson Noel in terms of her books. I refuse to read her work after reading the immortals series and another one (can't remember). Hope you enjoy it though!

Comments are loved and appreciated :) Thanks in advance!!
