Top Ten Tuesday -- Top Ten Things On My Reading Wishlist

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme brought to you at The Broke and the Bookish!! Each week we will be releasing a top ten book related list for you all to enjoy!

This week is actually a really tough one. I just tried to come up with anything I could think of because I'm not very creative when it comes up with writing topics or what I want to read. I kind of have to have people tell me things then decide from there if I would like it. So I apologize now for the randomness of the ones I came up with!

Top Ten Things On My Reading Wishlist

1. Overcoming being bullied
I was bullied pretty bad when I was younger. I was the smart kid that was way too small for my age until halfway through High School when I grew over 13 inches in less than a year. I also had larger teeth until I grew into them so I was called Muskrat for most of my school life. So bullying is something that I have known a lot about. I like to read books that show others overcoming it as well. It feels like I am reading books about myself.

2. Nerd love
I love nerdy people being able to have to fairy tale romance as well as the usual jock or pretty girl finds it. It is nice to see that everyone out there can find it. I love when authors use not so pretty people in their books. It makes me happy.

3. Faeries
I love anything Fae. I didn't know I did till last year. Now I am constantly on the look out to buy more Fae books.

4. Paranormal Romance
Ever since Twilight I have loved Paranormal Romance. I haven't read a ton of it, but that is because I have trouble finding ones that really stand out to me, but when one does, I devour it. I know a lot of you didn't like Twilight, but I did and I still do. It will be a series I will remember for the rest of my life. I don't care if the paranormal is dead people, vampires, werewolves. I just like the idea that stuff like that could exist.

5. Contemporary Romance
Nicholas Sparks was one of the first Contemporaries that I read. I loved the Notebook. Not all of his books end happily. In fact most don't so I avoid him a lot now. He was the one who got me into that genre though. Sarah Dessen then got me to love it even more. Now I can never get tired of it. I love the happy, fluffy, feel-good books that I smile when they end. I know they are all pretty similar but I love them anyway!

6. Band related Contemporaries
I never knew I liked this type of thing, till the Godwin Sisters. They both wrote band related books. Ever since then, I am always looking for some. I like the idea of band members learning to love regular everyday girls. Gives all girls hope that no matter where you grow up, you can be important to anyone. Plus the whole tshirt and jeans rock look is pretty sexy :)

7. LGBT Contemporaries
I am not LGBT, but I do support it. I love that more authors are embracing that there are people out there that don't fall into the normal love relationships. That doesn't mean they need to be left out. I love reading books that show you can overcome all the bad comments and find your own special fairy tale. I believe anyone deserves happiness no matter what gender you love!

8. Dystopian
I always thought Dystopian wasn't for me. I would read the synopsis for the books and say this sounds horrible. So many people would say how good they are though, so I was confused. I heard so many people talk about Hunger Games and I was like no way, I don't want to read that. Then I finally caved in after much pressure to read it. I loved it. Now I am on Divergent and I am loving it too. I am finding out that the synopsis for the books just doesn't do them justice. They are amazing. So now I keep my eyes out to find more so I can give them a chance too!

9. Hipster looking guys
I have a thing for skinny guys with emo style dark hair. I don't know what it is but I have always been attracted to it. Especially with the black rimmed glasses look. So if there is any book that has some romance in it and the main guy character has any of those characteristics, I have to read it. I really have no idea why I like that type, I just know I do. If I am walking around anywhere, they always catch my eye, so of course, I want to read about it too!

10. Cooking
I like books that deal with cooking. whether it is a romance about food network style challenges or someone that is a personal chef. I love reading about it. I love to cook in general, so I get sucked into books that have fiction stories that deal with it! I don't find them very often so I get very excited when I do!

Well, that's my list for the week! Hope you all enjoy!
