Stacking the Shelves

I ended up getting only one book this week. This is more because I have decided to not necessarily go on a book buying ban, but I am only allowing myself to get one book a paycheck. I have SOOOO many books on my shelves that I need to read and I keep buying more and more anyway. I am trying to make myself stop buying so many books so that I can catch up on the books that I have on my shelves!

Now...here is the book I bought :)

The Promise of Amazing
By: Robin Constantine

Wren Caswell is average. Ranked in the middle of her class at Sacred Heart, she’s not popular, but not a social misfit. Wren is the quiet, “good” girl who's always done what she's supposed to—only now in her junior year, this passive strategy is backfiring. She wants to change, but doesn’t know how.

Grayson Barrett was the king of St. Gabe’s. Star of the lacrosse team, top of his class, on a fast track to a brilliant future—until he was expelled for being a “term paper pimp.” Now Gray is in a downward spiral and needs to change, but doesn’t know how.

One fateful night their paths cross when Wren, working at her family’s Arthurian-themed catering hall, performs the Heimlich on Gray as he chokes on a cocktail weenie, saving his life literally and figuratively. What follows is the complicated, awkward, hilarious, and tender tale of two teens shedding their pasts, figuring out who they are—and falling in love.

That's all I got this week!
What all did you guys get??

  1. That sounds like a really good one to choose, since you're only allowing yourself one. It seems that everyone's on a book buying ban or diet, and I think this one per is a good strategy!

  2. I tried this one and it wasn't for me, but maybe you will like it. I tried to go on bans and diets, but they don't work for me. Awesome week.

    1. I love contemporaries and the idea of this book seems a lot like me. So I kind of want to read a book with a character that is a good girl like I was in school! I hope I like it! This is my first diet I am on so we will see if it works!!

  4. I've been iffy about picking this one up, but I think I'm just going to give it a try. It sounds good and I like the cute cover.

    Happy reading!

    1. I was really iffy on it too, but decided it sounded too cute to not give it a shot. I hope to be starting it sometime this week so hopefully you will see the review for it up very soon :)
