Dimitri gave Rose the ultimate choice. But she chose wrong...

After a long and heartbreaking journey to Dimitri's birthplace in Siberia, Rose Hathaway has finally returned to St. Vladimir's-and to her best friend, Lissa. It is nearly graduation, and the girls can't wait for their real lives beyond the Academy's iron gates to begin. But Rose's heart still aches for Dimitri, and she knows he's out there, somewhere.

She failed to kill him when she had the chance. And now her worst fears are about to come true. Dimitri has tasted her blood, and now he is hunting her. And this time he won't rest until Rose joins him... forever.

My Review:
Due to life being in the way a little, I had to slow down the reading on this book. I have however had it with me at all times and pulled it out to read it here or there. I finally got to get it finished on my lunch break at work because I just wasn't able to stop reading it.

This book is not my favorite out of the series, and that doesn't mean it was bad. I really enjoyed it. I just felt it was a little long and drawn out, though I am sure it will all be for the last book.

I felt horrible for Rose. Her poor heart, I don't know how she handles all that is going on in her life. I wanted to cry with her at times because I know she has been through a lot, and there is no chance of that stopping any time soon.

You cling to the book wanting to curl behind a blanket and hide as you read because there is so much suspense in this book. Richelle being the author she is was taking the stress off some situations for you and explaining them, but soon after she would leave you with another cliff hanger throughout the book. That is exactly how she ended it too. So much at the end happens and I know it will be most of the next book before it all starts coming together.

This is one of the first times you get to follow all the characters outside of the academy. They spend most of the time at the Royal Court. This is something you have to get used to. Because they still have rules there just as much as they did at the Academy though they might be different rules for different places. I was hoping they would get to be more of adults but they haven't been given that opportunity yet.

With the few problems of this book being a little slower and poor Rose and all the emotions you get from following her, I loved this book. I can't wait to get to the next one and devour it and finally get closure on the story.

Discussion: Series Intimidations

As I started as a blogger back in 2008 when I first started up. I saw a lot of books out there that so many people loved. Some of which sounded really good, some of which sounded horrible. None the less, they still loved them. Everyone has their books that they are scared to read because of the hype they get.

I ended up buying a few of them but they have sat on my shelves for years. I had to give up blogging for a few years, so I didn't feel the drive to read any of the books everyone loved. The poor books just sat there, some I even gave away to charity (I'm not happy about that anymore).

Now, years later I'm back blogging again and loving it. I am still seeing the same books around that everyone raved about even years ago. I have taken that as a sign. Even though I have a lot of books that I need to read, I keep trying to balance new series with old ones.

Since I've waited so long to read a lot of the books, I am lucky and can just buy the rest of the series and fly through them. Others I have decided I will do the wait with everyone else and picked up recent series as well that everyone loves.

I want to make a list of a few of the series I have been scared to read or just didn't want to read them like everyone else wanted to.

1. The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins
2. The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare
3. Divergent Series by Veronica Roth
4. Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead
5. Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordan

I decided to list 5 for you though I am sure I can keep going. I know all of these series has a lot of attention from a lot of bloggers. Some I have read, some I am reading now, and some I have yet to read.

I have read The Hunger Games and The Mortal Instruments. Both I thought sounded horrible. But I gave into the Hunger Games a couple years ago and I recently read The Mortal Instruments due to the movie. I will admit if the movie didn't come out I don't know if I would have read that. With that said though, I LOVED both of them. They each had their issues, sure, but I loved them. That got me thinking, if I was scared of these which other series am I am not giving a chance that I should.

Then there is Vampire Academy. If there was ever a series I didn't want to read, it was this one. I would see it around I was like why do people read this, it sounds stupid. Plus I heard it was close to Twilight, and me being a Twilight fan, I couldn't bring myself to even give it a look. I then was in my local bookstore and saw I could get the ENTIRE 6 books in the series for 20 dollars. I just couldn't pass that up. 2 of them are even hardcover books, definitely couldn't pass that up. I got the whole series for what would have cost me to just buy 1 normal price. My boyfriend being so sweet bought me the series for my birthday present. We don't have a ton of money, so I can't throw out a lot on presents and neither can he, so I was happy with the 6 book set he got me. Then, like most series, it sat on my shelf for a while. The thing that got me to pick it up was he bought them for me. The poor guy saved money to take me to dinner and buy me a couple books and then I was just letting them sit there on my shelves, so while I was looking for books for my October TBR list I decided to throw them on there. I started the first book and it took me a couple weeks to get halfway through the first book. It was slow and I just wasn't into it. Then one day it finally got good. Now I am hooked and on the 5th book of the series. If it wasn't for him getting them for me I would never given them a shot.

There is also Divergent and Percy Jackson on my list. Those two I have yet to read. I have had the first 2 in the Divergent series for a few months now as the same as all 5 of the Percy Jackson series. I am scared of Percy Jackson because I heard it is kind of like Harry Potter. Obviously different worlds, but similar. I didn't want to cheat on Harry, so I haven't touched them. But my friend Amanda at I Solemnly Swear loves Harry Potter just as much as I do and she still loves Percy Jackson. So I am going to give him a shot. Divergent I haven't read mainly because I was waiting for the last book so I could read them all at once. I now own them all so I will make time in November to read them.

I know its hard to read all the books out there, but I have decided with all the series I was scared of and not read because of it, that I need to stop being a coward. So I have now been buying here or there when I have the money to buy some more series to try to read sometime soon. Some of the series I have recently bought is the Maze Runner Trilogy by James Dashner and The Wolves of Mercy Falls series by Maggie Stiefvater. Hopefully between those and the ones on my shelves I have plenty of series to keep me busy the next few months.

Is there any series that intimidate you? Have you decided to read or have read any of the ones that have intimidated you?

Rose Hathaway's life will never be the same.

The recent attack on St. Vladimir's Academy devastated the entire Moroi world. Many are dead. And, for the few victims carried off by Strigoi, their fates are even worse. A rare tattoo now adorns Rose's neck, a mark that says she's killed far too many Strigoi to count. But only one victim matters . . . Dimitri Belikov. Rose must now choose one of two very different paths: honoring her life's vow to protect Lissa—her best friend and the last surviving Dragomir princess—or, dropping out of the Academy to strike out on her own and hunt down the man she loves. She'll have to go to the ends of the earth to find Dimitri and keep the promise he begged her to make. But the question is, when the time comes, will he want to be saved?

Now, with everything at stake—and worlds away from St. Vladimir's and her unguarded, vulnerable, and newly rebellious best friend—can Rose find the strength to destroy Dimitri? Or, will she sacrifice herself for a chance at eternal love?

My Review:

These reviews are starting to get really difficult. I have no idea what to really say during them anymore. The synopsis already gives away a lot of things that happen in this book and I don't want to give even more than that out.

I ended up only reading a few pages last night before I fell asleep, so really I woke up starting the book from the beginning. I did a few things on the computer and didn't even start reading until this afternoon. So with that said, I surprised even myself. I read the ENTIRE 500 pages in one day, I have never read that many in one day before. I didn't even though I could. Granted it took me quite a few hours, I still did it and had time to come right this review for you guys.

Words can not explain what this book did to me. I heard from many people how emotional it would be, but I didn't expect it to be this bad. There has only been one other book that has made me cry the way this book did, and that is The Fault in our Stars by John Green. I cried like a baby in that book, but I also cried like a baby in this one. Especially in the first half of the book.

As I kept reading I was having a hard time trying to figure the book out, not in a bad way. It is just one of those stories where you can't quite try to figure out the story on your own, I pretty much just had to keep reading in order to find out what happened because my brain definitely couldn't come up with anything.

At the end of the book I closed it and just stared off at the wall for a while just trying to get my thoughts together. First thing I did was hop up and grab the next book, but I knew there was no way I could read it without writing this review, so now I am here typing this for you all :) I could very possibly be pulling an all nighter in order to read as much of the next book as I can, or I might be good and go to bed so I can spend the day tomorrow reading the next book and maybe if I am lucky finishing that one as well.

Richelle is amazing at being able to keep you on your toes throughout the whole book. I thought her first book was half boring, but now that she has what she wants to happen, it is just flowing out onto the pages in beautiful awesomeness. I am so glad I don't have to wait for all the books to come out one by one, because I don't think I could handle the endings she gives at the end of each book. Last book she gave one big reveal that made you need the next one, this one, she gave 3 different ones. That has me more intrigued and sucked into the story more than ever!

It's springtime at St. Vladimir's Academy, and Rose Hathaway is this close to graduation. Since making her first Strigoi kills, Rose hasn't been feeling quite right. She's having dark thoughts, behaving erratically, and worst of all... might be seeing ghosts.

As Rose questions her sanity, new complications arise. Lissa has begun experimenting with her magic once more, their enemy Victor Dashkov might be set free, and Rose's forbidden relationship with Dimitri is starting to heat up again. But when a deadly threat no one saw coming changes their entire world, Rose must put her own life on the line - and choose between the two people she loves most.

My Review:

As I stated in my last review, I will not go into detail of this book because it will ruin anything for you. I will start of saying though that this book had me at the edge of my seat. I couldn't stop reading. I even ignored customers and read this book while my boss was also working not caring because I had to keep reading to know what happened.

There was action and conflict throughout the whole book. Right as something was getting answered and explained, something new would happen.

And I want to say to the author "WHY!" when it comes to how she ended it. Not in a bad way, but there is NNNOOOOOOO way you can finish up this book and have to run to get the next one. I am lucky and bought the whole series so I have the next one lined up ready to go. So now I am typing this for you all so I can run and read some more. It is already 11 pm my time and I have been up since 4 am because of work and I don't even feel tired because I have to keep reading.

There is so much that happens in this book. Not just with the plot itself, but also the characters. The characters change in this book. All of them do. I can't think of a single main character in this book that hasn't changed. Mia, Eddie, Christian, Rose, Dimitri, Rose's Mom, Adrian, Lissa...the list can keep going. I love that about it. It isn't the same boring repetitiveness that some books can have when having such a long series.

This book will suck you in. I now understand why so many on Twitter were telling me it was their favorite and that I will become addicted. My boyfriend has even been getting ignored today, I know I'm horrible, but I had to know what happened next.

I know this isn't the best review, but honestly I don't know what to really say about the book that won't ruin it for you. If I really say what I want to scream out to you all, it will spoil the whole book and I just can't do that to all of you.

Please though, do trust me when I say, if you haven't read this series, go buy it NOW! I am so mad at myself for waiting so long to read this series, and I know I will be devouring the rest of this series but the end of the week!!

Update: I just woke up the next morning after finishing this book and writing the review. I dreamt about it all night, even woke up a couple times not able to fall back asleep because I couldn't stop thinking about the next book and hoping that what happened at the end isn't really true or some how it will all be fixed. I have NEVER had a book make me from not being able to sleep once I was asleep, so this book was definitely AMAZING!

Couldn't Put it Down!!!!

Oct 20, 2013

Sooo.... I went to college for a degree in Early Childhood Education. I graduated with that degree in 2009. I then moved from Florida to New Mexico. I ended up getting a job there at the daycare on the Air Force Base. The sad thing is though, I got paid more than anyone there, so they were all mad at me and treated me horribly. I ended up quitting and was scared to ever go back to work in a daycare thinking the same thing would keep happening to me.

I finally came back home to Florida after two horribly long years. All the daycares here in my area paid minimum wage even with my degree. So I ended up getting a job then at a local tackle shop teaching tourists how to fish. I got paid almost 3 dollars more doing that, then doing something with my degree.

I also went back to college at this time just going for an Associate's of Arts. So with my scholarships they paid me to go to school pretty much, so I was able to take the part time hours over the winter season. Now that I have graduated in May, I no longer get that school money. I had no choice but to start looking for a new job.

I wrote the first resume I have ever written in my life and started handing them out to all the daycares that were small and private I could find. I decided I could take a small pay cut in order to a full time position in the degree I got in the first place. I love little kids and I have let small things scare me from working with them as a full time teacher. My boyfriend convinced me to stop making excuses and to go do what I was born to do.

I waited a few weeks and didn't hear anything from any of those, and getting desperate since my hours are almost done at the store, I didn't know what else to do. So I started applying to more of the chain daycares around my area. I ended up applying to some of them online since that is the only way they accepted applications. I applied to them on a Friday afternoon. Monday afternoon, while working on my blog posts none the less, I got a phone call from one.

I applied to so many different ones that I felt kind of bad that I had to go search the phone numbers location before I called them back so I at least knew who called me. I found out the daycare that called me is a 5 minute drive from my house. My tackle store job takes me 30 minutes one way to drive to. So this excited me. I was still a little nervous since it was a chain daycare though. But, after I called her back, I had a good feeling about the place. The woman sounded so sweet and caring I was excited for the interview. They asked me to come in on Wednesday since I was off that day to come in and speak to them about the position. I was so happy though to see it was off the main road and pretty much a little hole in the wall place. It was small and had a good vibe coming from it.

As I got there early because I wanted to make sure I could find it, I sat in my car reading, trying to calm my nerves down. I was ready to throw up in their parking lot. I know, I'm a wimp. I walked inside and got to finally talk to them. They told me everything they were looking for. So I'm gonna write my list of what I wanted, and I will write their list of what they wanted.

My List: Friendly work environment, lead teacher position in a 3 year old classroom, full time, benefits, pay as good as I was making at the tackle store. steady hours, year round position, work uniforms (I like work t-shirts at daycares so I don't get my own personal clothes dirty).

Their List: Someone friendly, wanting a lead teacher position in a 3 year old classroom, full time, offer them benefits, willing to offer decent pay, sick days, paid vacation, paid sick days, year round position, and willing to wear their daycare work shirts.

If you guys haven't been able to notice, the lists are pretty much the same. I am getting offered the same amount of pay that I was already getting paid at the tackle store, which is amazing, I have never been offered that much pay from a daycare in Florida. I get my own classroom, get to set it up just how I want, get to work the same hours every day, and I get holidays off finally to be with my family. I also had a crazy work schedule at the tackle store, so every week I always had a different schedule and a different amount of hours. Here I get the weekends off and never have to wonder what I am working that week.

I am so excited. It is like a dream come true. Everyone I have talked to so far in the center I will be working at is sooooo nice and sweet. My boss even calls me honey and treats me like a normal person instead of an employee.

I had to get my fingerprints scanned on Thursday so they take a few days to finally go through saying I'm cleared. So the second they call them to say the prints are done, I get to start, which is most likely going to be Tuesday. I am so very excited to move up in the world with a good job and something that I love to do. I will finally have more money to do the things I want and buy things I want to buy.

My boyfriend and I have had money issues recently so I have had paychecks that I wasn't even able to buy groceries with, which really sucks to think you might go hungry if my boyfriend didn't use all his money to buy food on those weeks. So now I won't have to worry about that.

I have had a huge smile on my face. It will also make it so much easier to schedule my posts here for you guys. I used to have them all over them place because of my crazy hours, but now I know I can work on them on the weekends some and post them throughout the week, on the days that I have had trouble even getting to my computer, I can now still make posts those days because I will be off work by 4 everyday.

I know this is super long, but I had to share it with you guys!! Thanks for sticking with me through it!!

The biggest secret of all? Godspeed's former passengers aren't alone on this planet. And if they're going to stay, they'll have to fight.

Amy and Elder must race to discover who--or what--else is out there if they are to have any hope of saving their struggling colony and building a future together. They will have to look inward to the very core of what makes them human on this, their most harrowing journey yet. Because if the colony collapses? Then everything they have sacrificed--friends, family, life on Earth--will have been for nothing.

Punk rock band Mutilated Arteries has been seventeen-year-old Becca's world (aka obsession) for the last year. When the band schedules a concert in her hometown, she and her best friend Carli are the first ones in line to buy tickets. The night is everything she expects it to be and more, especially after making friends with the new super-cute bassist, Sketch.

Becca's mom warns her not to fall for a rock star because rock stars are always on the road - or they die in a plane crash, like her mom's favorite band did twenty-something years ago. But after the band's tour bus breaks down and they're stuck hanging out in Roizen Hills for a week, it's hard for Becca not to fall for Sketch and his caricature drawings and toxic green eyes.

Becca knows Sketch is leaving as soon as the bus is fixed, and she can't be his fan-turned-girlfriend anyway because of the lead singer's "No Girlfriends" rule. Plus, there's something strange about the guys that Becca can't quite decipher... like how they won't reveal their real names, their always-changing odd appearances, and the guitarist's obsession with blood and zombies. Still, Becca wants nothing more than for Sketch to mutilate her heart...but it just might not be in a way she expects.

Join Me at the Pumpkin Patch!

Every year my boyfriend and I have started to go to a local church's pumpkin patch. We spend some time going through all the pumpkins to find the perfect ones.

Us just arriving to get our pumpkin on. Say Hi Teejay!!

The church also during the weekends has bunnies out for kids to pet and a hayride around the near by neighborhood. I love how they have activities for the little ones to be able to come and enjoy the patch too! Sadly I went during the week though so I have no pictures of that for you :(

I always get so excited when I see the pallets being put up because I know the pumpkins will be there soon!
It was such a gorgeous day. It had a nice temperature outside, beautiful sunlight, and of course, the view of all the wonderful pumpkins!

We spend a while going through all of them to find the perfect one for us to be able to carve. This year, Teejay decided he wants to carve the Cheshire Cat, so we searched around for the right pumpkin for his face!

They are getting more sometime this week, so I might go back and see what other big ones they get and maybe I will get one for me to carve myself!

Baby Punkins!!!! I love them so much!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE baby pumpkins, lol! This is my face with my arms full not able to carry any more! My boyfriend asked if I wanted to walk them back to the car and then look for the big one, but I told him no, they needed to be nurtured!!

The final amount of all my baby punkins!!

This girl is now pooped!

Thanks for joining me on my Pumpkin Adventure!! Do any of you have your own pumpkin patches that you visit every year?
