Synopsis:

Dimitri gave Rose the ultimate choice. But she chose wrong...

After a long and heartbreaking journey to Dimitri's birthplace in Siberia, Rose Hathaway has finally returned to St. Vladimir's-and to her best friend, Lissa. It is nearly graduation, and the girls can't wait for their real lives beyond the Academy's iron gates to begin. But Rose's heart still aches for Dimitri, and she knows he's out there, somewhere.

She failed to kill him when she had the chance. And now her worst fears are about to come true. Dimitri has tasted her blood, and now he is hunting her. And this time he won't rest until Rose joins him... forever.

My Review:
Due to life being in the way a little, I had to slow down the reading on this book. I have however had it with me at all times and pulled it out to read it here or there. I finally got to get it finished on my lunch break at work because I just wasn't able to stop reading it.

This book is not my favorite out of the series, and that doesn't mean it was bad. I really enjoyed it. I just felt it was a little long and drawn out, though I am sure it will all be for the last book.

I felt horrible for Rose. Her poor heart, I don't know how she handles all that is going on in her life. I wanted to cry with her at times because I know she has been through a lot, and there is no chance of that stopping any time soon.

You cling to the book wanting to curl behind a blanket and hide as you read because there is so much suspense in this book. Richelle being the author she is was taking the stress off some situations for you and explaining them, but soon after she would leave you with another cliff hanger throughout the book. That is exactly how she ended it too. So much at the end happens and I know it will be most of the next book before it all starts coming together.

This is one of the first times you get to follow all the characters outside of the academy. They spend most of the time at the Royal Court. This is something you have to get used to. Because they still have rules there just as much as they did at the Academy though they might be different rules for different places. I was hoping they would get to be more of adults but they haven't been given that opportunity yet.

With the few problems of this book being a little slower and poor Rose and all the emotions you get from following her, I loved this book. I can't wait to get to the next one and devour it and finally get closure on the story.

Couldn't Put it Down!!
