Synopsis:

Rose Hathaway's life will never be the same.

The recent attack on St. Vladimir's Academy devastated the entire Moroi world. Many are dead. And, for the few victims carried off by Strigoi, their fates are even worse. A rare tattoo now adorns Rose's neck, a mark that says she's killed far too many Strigoi to count. But only one victim matters . . . Dimitri Belikov. Rose must now choose one of two very different paths: honoring her life's vow to protect Lissa—her best friend and the last surviving Dragomir princess—or, dropping out of the Academy to strike out on her own and hunt down the man she loves. She'll have to go to the ends of the earth to find Dimitri and keep the promise he begged her to make. But the question is, when the time comes, will he want to be saved?

Now, with everything at stake—and worlds away from St. Vladimir's and her unguarded, vulnerable, and newly rebellious best friend—can Rose find the strength to destroy Dimitri? Or, will she sacrifice herself for a chance at eternal love?

My Review:

These reviews are starting to get really difficult. I have no idea what to really say during them anymore. The synopsis already gives away a lot of things that happen in this book and I don't want to give even more than that out.

I ended up only reading a few pages last night before I fell asleep, so really I woke up starting the book from the beginning. I did a few things on the computer and didn't even start reading until this afternoon. So with that said, I surprised even myself. I read the ENTIRE 500 pages in one day, I have never read that many in one day before. I didn't even though I could. Granted it took me quite a few hours, I still did it and had time to come right this review for you guys.

Words can not explain what this book did to me. I heard from many people how emotional it would be, but I didn't expect it to be this bad. There has only been one other book that has made me cry the way this book did, and that is The Fault in our Stars by John Green. I cried like a baby in that book, but I also cried like a baby in this one. Especially in the first half of the book.

As I kept reading I was having a hard time trying to figure the book out, not in a bad way. It is just one of those stories where you can't quite try to figure out the story on your own, I pretty much just had to keep reading in order to find out what happened because my brain definitely couldn't come up with anything.

At the end of the book I closed it and just stared off at the wall for a while just trying to get my thoughts together. First thing I did was hop up and grab the next book, but I knew there was no way I could read it without writing this review, so now I am here typing this for you all :) I could very possibly be pulling an all nighter in order to read as much of the next book as I can, or I might be good and go to bed so I can spend the day tomorrow reading the next book and maybe if I am lucky finishing that one as well.

Richelle is amazing at being able to keep you on your toes throughout the whole book. I thought her first book was half boring, but now that she has what she wants to happen, it is just flowing out onto the pages in beautiful awesomeness. I am so glad I don't have to wait for all the books to come out one by one, because I don't think I could handle the endings she gives at the end of each book. Last book she gave one big reveal that made you need the next one, this one, she gave 3 different ones. That has me more intrigued and sucked into the story more than ever!

Couldn't Put it Down!!
