Top Ten Tuesday -- Top Ten Books On My Fall 2013 TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme brought to you at The Broke and the Bookish!! Each week we will be releasing a top ten book related list for you all to enjoy!

I've had so many books on my TBR list. I decided to do the list in series, so I have 10 series that I want to read/re-read this fall :) It's quite a list but I'll do the best I can!

Top Ten Books On My Fall 2013 TBR List

Wicked Lovely (Wicked Lovely, #1)Divergent (Divergent, #1)

1. Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr -- All I got to really say about this one is...Faeries! I really enjoy Faerie stories, so I can't wait for this series!

2. Divergent by Veronica Roth -- I've been waiting to read this one because of the final book Allegiant coming out in October. So it's now on my TBR list because October is getting so close!!

Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, #1)Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices, #2)Clockwork Princess (The Infernal Devices, #3)

3. The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare -- I just got done reading The Mortal Instruments series last month. I decided to read a few of my stand alones before I started in on these 3 books but they are the first series/trilogy I am picking up in October! I have to have more of the shadowhunter world!

The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1)Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy, #1)

4. Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordan -- I have heard so much about this and have had everyone tell me I have to read it. So I ended up buying all 5 books and hope to get around to them very soon. I'm excited to learn some mythology and have a good story along with it :)

5. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead -- This is another series I have been meaning to read for a long long time, just never got around to it. On my birthday I found all the books for less than 25 dollars at Books-A-Million and there were even some that were hardcover, I was so happy, so now that I own the whole set, I need to get started on it!

Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1)Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1)The Iron King (The Iron Fey, #1)

6. Across the Universe by Beth Revis -- The first thing that drew me into this series was the cover, well the original cover, it was gorgeous! I really have no idea why they switched them up. They aren't ugly to say, but they aren't as wonderful as they were. I included the original cover for the sake of this for you all to see, and a copy of the new one as well. It sounds so good, and my awesome friend Amanda at I Solemnly Swear told me how wonderful it is, so I need it!

7. The Iron Fey Series by Julie Kagawa -- As stated above.... FAERIES! I always told myself I'm too much of a tomboy to like faeries. I never read one till the Wings by Aprilynne Pike. Then I was hooked. Now I've been picking up every series I can that has faeries in it. So naturally, this one was a must! I can't wait!

Re-Reads

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter, #2)Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter, #3)Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter, #5)Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Harry Potter, #6)Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter, #7)

8. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling -- I try to re-read this every year, so it is getting to the time where I am having Harry Potter withdrawals. Especially since the new covers that I want so much but am trying to resist buying since I already have 2 sets of the books, but I definitely want them. I know I will give in eventually. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE this series as most of you all do as well, so I know I really don't have to explain why this is on the list :)

The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1)Twilight (Twilight, #1)

9. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins -- This is another one I feel I don't need to explain, but I want to re-read it for the upcoming movie in November. I would love to be able to re-read the whole series again and go in to watch the awesomeness of Catching Fire!

10. Twilight by Stephanie Meyer -- I know this is the one I will get crap for. But I haven't read this series since 2008. I decided it was time to re-read it again since I liked the movies as well as the books. I want to enjoy them again, and I am not ashamed. I am a Twilight fan. I also am curious if I will love these as much since I have read so many other books out there, maybe my opinion will change.

  1. I didn't know there were different covers for Across the Universe - I've only ever seen the pinkish one! I kind of like the look of the blue one though :D

I love that you re-read HP every year. That's brilliant! What do you think of the new film we'll be getting?! I'm so excited!

  3. You've got some great books coming up! I love The Infernal Devices much more than I liked The Mortal Instruments so I'll be interested to see how you feel about both of them once you've read the other series. I'm also rereading Harry Potter right now, this time with my son. It's amazing every single time. I thought about rereading Catching Fire before the movie comes out but I think I'm not going to because I'm afraid it'll be too fresh and then I won't like the movie. I'm always so nervous with adaptations!

  5. I'm excited! I'm gonna re-read Percy Jackson sometime soon too! And I think I might re-read The Hunger Games and Catching Fire before the movie comes out so I can refresh my memory. Most of these books actually are on my list for the near-ish future, probably after Thanksgiving if I can finish all my other reads by then. One can hope!

  8. I actually just finished the Percy Jackson series for the first time and enjoyed it. I read the first Clockwork book when it came out but never continued it, I need to reread it and read them all. Great list, I hope you enjoy Divergent - and everything else, too!
