Top Ten Tuesday -- Top Ten Books I Wish Could Have Had Sequels

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme brought to you at The Broke and the Bookish!! Each week we will be releasing a top ten book related list for you all to enjoy!

I have had many books that I wish didn't end, so this week was fun getting to try to remember all of them that I wish I could have kept reading! I do have some trilogies/series down there, but I still went with wishing it wouldn't have ended so I put them on there anyway!

Top Ten Books I Wish Could Have Had Sequels

Anna and the French Kiss (Anna and the French Kiss, #1)The Fault in Our Stars

 1. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins -- I LOVED this book. It ended in a way that I was happy with, but I also wanted more. I wanted to keep following them through their lives because I wasn't ready to give them up yet.

2. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green -- This one is hard for me to put down, this book destroyed me, but I also wish I could have gotten a completely clear ending, but I know he left it like that for us to end it ourselves just like the guy in the book did with his book.

Destined (Wings, #4)Ironside (Modern Faerie Tales, #3)

3. Destined by Aprilynne Pike -- I fell in love with the characters and I was mad through most of the series because of the romantic interests. Once it finally came to how I wanted it, it was the ending and I didn't get much to swoon over. I wish I could have read a little more about their lives than I did.

4. Ironside by Holly Black -- I LOVED this trilogy as well. I devoured it in a few days and was left staring at a wall wishing there was more I could read but sadly I couldn't.

Mockingjay (The Hunger Games, #3)Our Song

5. Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins -- I know all of you understand this. This book was so long and drawn out making you wait for what happened to Katniss and Peeta or Katniss and Gale. Then at the end it is like she just took all of it threw it together and threw it into the book. I was glad to know what happened but it was done so fast and sloppy I was like "Really, that was it, WTF!!". I wish it could have given us another chapter of a better ending on it all.

6. Our Song by Jordanna Fraiberg -- I couldn't get enough of these characters. I swooned over nick throughout the book and even though the ending was decent, I wish I could follow them some more as well.

This Is What Happy Looks LikeHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter, #7)
7. This is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith -- This is a book I have voiced before....it was such a good read till the end. It just kinda ended without you knowing what even happens between the two. I was planning the ending myself in my head so I gave it a happy ending but I don't see why it was ended without really knowing how it went. there was so much info put into the book for a wonderful ending and it seemed all that info was just filler because it was never used at the end.

8. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling -- okay, I loved the ending, and I know this one is really cheating, but I have to put it on here. I wish I could follow the kids of the series and have them spin into a new one.

Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful, #1)Walking Disaster (Beautiful, #2)Openly Straight

9. Beautiful Disaster/Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire -- I was happy with these 2 books, I was just hoping I could get to follow their lives a little more to see how they ended up later on down the road. I'm still hoping somehow she decides to do it!

10. Openly Straight by Bill Konigsberg -- This was a heartjerker book too. I enjoyed it but it did end in a way that I don't know how it ended. You don't know how Rafe ends up. I want to go into more detail but it will spoil anything on this book. I hope this book ends up with a sequel though I'm pretty sure it's a stand alone.

  1. Right there with you on Anna! I wish we could follow them to college and into adult life. They better end up happy ever after if they get mentioned in the next two books!

  5. While I loved The Fault in Our Stars and cried like a baby, I'm glad it's only one book. It ended perfectly and I couldn't imagine the story being told anymore. The story is done.
But I can't say the same about Harry Potter. That story can never be done. It could go on for another 20 years and I'de be as happy as a lark. But I'd be more interested in a prequel than a sequel.
And I completely agree with Mockingjay. The first two books were amazing and then the last book was just like, "what?" I had to reread the end fight a couple of times just to take it all in an understand because it was rushed so much. Sure, the last chapter and the epilogue was lovely, but I want to know more.
