Question:

If you could only have ONE – one book – for the rest of your life. Don’t cheat…what would it be?

Answer: Okay, first I want to say, this question was very hard. I wanted to say Harry Potter. But then I knew it would be torture to only be able to have one of the books in the series and not all of them. So I decided against picking it, though I am not happy about it. I also thought maybe the movies would still be around for me to at least be able to still enjoy him on film since I decided not on the pages.

I then thought maybe The Fault in Our Stars. Then I decided TFIOS will kill me if that is the only book I can read the rest of my life. It is so emotional and heartbreaking I couldn't do it to myself no matter how wonderful the pages are.

I decided on a book that is actually an adult book though I know many of you have read it and loved it. It is a book I read when I had a hurricane rip through my town and wasn't able to have electricity for over a month. The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. I LOVE this book and I love the movie. It is one of the first Nicholas Sparks books I read and one of the only ones that really has had an impact on my life. So, with me looking for over an hour for which book I want, this is my decision.

Final Answer:
The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks

The Notebook

  4. I haven't read the book, but I have seen the movie. I don't know if I could stick with that one. Plus, I have the small problem that when I read romances I tend to get really angry that my hubby isn't a dreamy fictional character...

I agree that choosing only one book in the Harry Potter series is a torture! But I don't think I could ever live my life without Harry Potter next to me (well, I could...but I'd be miserable!)

  30. LOL! We both started to go with HP and then didn't for the same reasons...there just no way I could only pick one of them. I would have to have them all or nothing :) Thanks for stopping by this week!

I haven't read The Notebook, or watched it. My first Nicholas Sparks book was Dear John, so I loved that.

  32. I've not seen the movie or read the book... I admit... I got sick of Spark's formula and swore off any more of his stories (I'm sorry, don't hurt me!)

However, I can understand how a good romance could be a great book to read over and over.

    1. Don't worry, I understand on the Spark's thing. I've read quite a few of his books trying to get any of them to be anywhere close to this one, but no luck so far. I didn't like most of his other ones. I would definitely still try this one out, I promise it's better than any of the others you've read by him!
