Feature and Follow Friday + Final Giveaway Entries

Hey guys, this is my Feature and Follow Friday post! This post is hosted by two different blogs, Parajunkee and Alison Can Read! This meme is here for everyone to be able to get their blog out there and get more followers!! Links are below for you to look at others, follow them, and link your own blog!

Question:
Back to School time! Create a reading list for the imaginary English Lit class you'll be teaching this semester.

Answer:

I ended up with three books that I have read and felt like they are really good for people to read and end up having to search their souls.

The Fault in Our Stars

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

I feel like this has so much emotion throughout it as well as the struggles it can cause to a whole family. I think it would be a great book to be able to write a paper on and talk about within a class room.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

This book goes through so much struggle within a person as well as dealing with drugs in youth. I feel like everyone can learn something about the youth as well as things about themselves. I wish I could have read this book in school and written a paper on it. It might be one of the first papers I would have actually enjoyed writing.

Openly Straight

Openly Straight by Bill Konigsberg

I love this book for an English lit class because it deals with being in the LGBT community. This one specifically focuses on being gay. I loved it because it shows the struggle that anyone in this category deals with, that they aren't just themselves. Once they are considered out, they will always be known as being out and treated as so. I want others to read this book so they can understand a little better and maybe we can all help this world accept those better that are LGBT.

Next week's question:

Share something you’ve learned about book blogging or just blogging in general in the last month.

    12. Firstly Happy Birthday Amber! I've been blessed with lots of terrific birthdays and I was also an only child for 10 years and first Grandchild so I was really spoilt as a child when it came to birthdays. Nearly every birthday whilst I was growing up had a cartoon mascot LOL my favourite was when I had Bugs Bunny even though I was too scared of him LOL

I love your book choices, I'd definitely sit through your classes, but it seems it's one of those class I need to bring tissues for LOL

    21. I like that you picked books that are so relevant to high schoolers. It's been a while since I was in HS, but I remember the required reading was filled with books about "adult problems." Yes, because my high school self is SO concerned with the perils of emotional wasteland represented by extravagant wealth. My allowance is $10 a week; could throw some mad parties with that, right?
