Bout of Books Readathon 8.0 Goals!

Bout of Books
Well, I got less than a week now before Bout of Books and I think I'm finally ready to pick out some goals for myself. I might end up changing them along the way, but I'm gonna try to stick to it no matter what! Wish me luck!

Pages to be Read a Day:
I am hoping to be able to read at least 200 pages a day, but shooting for 300!

My Goals:
I am not going to do the whole Booktube-a-Thon but I am going to try to do at least some of them. Few that I hope to be able to do:
  • Read an average of 300 pages a day -- I put above I am shooting for at least 200 but my true goal is 300, I just work during the week too but I'm sure gonna try
  • Read a book that's been on your shelf forever -- I am going to be reading The Mortal Instruments Series, I am going to read as many of those books as I can!
  • Listen to an audiobook -- I picked Alice in Wonderland. It is short in time at 3 hours long but I've always wanted to read it. Figured I could finish the book going to and from work!
  • Read a Classic -- This is also Alice in Wonderland. I'm killing two birds with one stone!
  • Read a Book with at least 500 pages -- The City of Glass series is over 500 so I hope to finish that and mark this off the list :)

 Books to Read:
Alice's Adventures in WonderlandCity of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments, #2)City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments, #3)City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4)
Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
I hope to be able to read even more than this, but this is already a tough list! lets hope I can do it!!

  1. I was thinking about doing this one as well but I can't just drop everything and read for a whole week although it would be great haha. I'm going to try though and I'm already having a fantastic reading month. I read the Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout and I loved it. So my month can only get better. I hope you're having a good month as well.

    2. I'm finally getting around to the series because of the movie! The books are huge so they have been scaring me to read them, but now I have no choice if I wanna go see the movie! I will have to check out the Lux series!!

  3. Amber,

Nice to 'meet' you! I am a newbie to the Bout, which is why I am going around to different Bout'er blogs, introducing myself, and seeing what everyone else is reading! This particular series your reading has been mentioned to me by friends, but I always felt it might not be a good 'fit' for me, despite the fact I adore Steampunk! Actually, if you ever wanted to read "The Clockwork Man", click over to my blog, as it will take you to my review of it via "The Clockwork Carnival!" Meanwhile, I am not even sure if I calculated how many 'pages' I'd shoot for each day, rather than, noting how many pages I read per day!

I'm definitely shooting for the moon -- I am going to attempt 10!! I look forward to watching your progress, but also to see your impressions of the Mortal Instruments!!

    2. Hallo Amber!

I know, it might be a bit more than I can chew, but I'm going to try!! I made good progress today for "Lark Rise!", even started to write up my review for it, and I've been journalling my Day One Reflections as well! I am looking forward to your updates, too! Getting to drop by blogs I think is just as much fun as digging into the books we all want to read!!

I made it a bit easier to 'follow' me during the Bout! I made the Master Archive of the Bout, my 'sticky'. Each day's post is threaded on there, you just have to go to say, "Monday" and select what you want to read that I've done! The challenge links take you to those challenges,... as those are still a -work in progress!-
