In the realm of Faerie, the time has come for Roiben's coronation. Uneasy in the midst of the malevolent Unseelie Court, pixie Kaye is sure of only one thing -- her love for Roiben. But when Kaye, drunk on faerie wine, declares herself to Roiben, he sends her on a seemingly impossible quest. Now Kaye can't see or speak to Roiben unless she can find the one thing she knows doesn't exist: a faerie who can tell a lie.

Miserable and convinced she belongs nowhere, Kaye decides to tell her mother the truth -- that she is a changeling left in place of the human daughter stolen long ago. Her mother's shock and horror sends Kaye back to the world of Faerie to find her human counterpart and return her to Ironside. But once back in the faerie courts, Kaye finds herself a pawn in the games of Silarial, queen of the Seelie Court. Silarial wants Roiben's throne, and she will use Kaye, and any means necessary, to get it. In this game of wits and weapons, can a pixie outplay a queen?

My Review:

Kaye is madly in love with Roiben and thinks he feels the same. Until she declares herself to Roiben and he sends her on a quest that is impossible, to find a faerie that can lie. She is alone and depressed beyond what she ever expected. After she tells her mother that she is a faerie, she is cast out also by her mother. She has no idea where she belongs and sets out on a quest of her own to figure it out.

The queen knows about Kaye's declaration and wants to use this against her, but how...that is for you to find out.

I wondered how all the characters of all the books would play out in this final book in the trilogy. I was thinking it would be Val that would be there to save the day, but in fact it is Luis from the 2nd book as well as all the regular characters from Tithe.

Holly does a wonderful job of keeping this final book action packed. Even in the slower parts of the book you still knew that something was right around the corner at all times. I had to fly through the book because I had to know what happened next.

My heart went out to Kaye throughout the book. Her love for Roiben stayed true through all of it. She was confused and alone not knowing the reasons of him sending her away.

The ending was fantastic and kept me scared to see how it would end. I absolutely loved this trilogy and plan to read it again in the next few months because I loved it so much. The love throughout the books and all the craziness that ensues make you no able to stop reading.

I hope all of you go pick this book up. I wish I could say more, but anything more I say will ruin the trilogy and give you all spoilers and I refuse to do that all to you. So if there is anyone out there that would like to talk about the series more in depth, just shoot me an email and I will talk to you through there :)

Couldn't Put it Down!
