Feature and Follow Friday

Hey guys, this is my Feature and Follow Friday post! This post is hosted by two different blogs, Parajunkee and Alison Can Read! This meme is here for everyone to be able to get their blog out there and get more followers!! Links are below for you to look at others, follow them, and link your own blog!

Question:
What is your preferred reading format? Hardcover, eBooks, paperback, etc?

Answer: I prefer either hardcover or paperback. I do read a lot of my review copies on eBooks but that is because most authors only offer them in that format. If I could get them in a hard copy I would. I definitely love the feel of real pages and I also enjoy the smell of books. I know probably weird, but I do! I also if I read an eBook I really like, I tend to go out and buy the book anyway so I can have a copy, so I try not to spend money twice if I don't have to.

Next week's question:

Today’s is the US’ Independence Day. Share your favorite book with a war in it, or an overthrow of the government.

  3. Happy Friday! I prefer reading paperbacks. I love the feel of real pages in my hand. I read eBooks sometimes, though. They're always faster to finish and you can easily highlight the passages you like.

  8. I definitely agree with you, and I like the smell of books too! I'd also buy a book I really like in paperback/hardcover even if I had it as an e-book.

  9. I agree, I wish more authors sent out physical review copies. I'm sure it's a cost issue, but I really really miss physical copies and the ability to do a giveaway once I read it.

  10. I've come to love e-books, although at first I was like why did I ever do this? I love paper/hardbacks too, but I really don't have the room for them anymore. Have a great weekend!

  11. I'm lost without my Kindle. I have hundreds of old paperbacks clogging up my office at home so the Kindle was a lifesaver. I also enjoy reading self-published writers and sometimes they're only available via ebook. Followed via Bloglovin.

  12. That's exactly what I said, I am forced to read ebooks because that's the only way I can connect with some authors, and especially I do love Netgalleys and receiving eARCS but, if it wouldn't be for these two sources I wouldn't read ebooks. ^^

  13. Yes!! I do the same thing - if I read an ebook and LOVE IT, I absolutely have to get a physical copy. Though I usually wait until it's out in paperback.

  16. Oh I am the exact same way! I love my real books! The feel, the smell...ahhh, bliss. The kindle is nice though for those review copies like you said. I've been known to buy books after reading the ebook as well. But in my defense, they were on sale...or free...or were I was about to see the author and wanted the book for them to sign!

    Here's my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT weekend!

  26. the smell of paperbacks will ALWAYS be what keeps me coming back to them! :D Well, new ones anyway. The smell of those old ones you find in secondhand stores, where they're all dusty and musty and make me cough...maybe not so much. :D
