May 4, 2013

Okay, I know this is a book blog, but I had such a wonderful day, I wanted to take the time to tell you how it has went so far.

I had my graduation for my college at 10 am. I had to get up early so I was ready and able to drive and make it there on time. As I stood there waiting to be able to go out for everyone to see us, I started to get so nervous and afraid of passing out before I even got to walk across the stage. I got the nerve to make it through and my family cheered and yelled for me as I went. It was so nice to have my family there with me. As I went to meet up with my family after it was done I was attacked by hugs and a bouquet of roses from my boyfriend.

We then went to a restaurant where I received many cards from everyone and had everyone saying how proud they are of me and they wished my dad was here to see it. By the way, my dad died in the air force over seas when I was 2 back in 1991. I have scholarships through him to go to college. So yes, as I heard all of them say it to me, I started to cry. Wishing he was here, but yet I knew he was proud even if he wasn't next to me.

I then went from there to pick strawberries in a field with my boyfriend. He was so supportive the whole time and never left my side. It was so sweet. We even went to Lowe's to get a hummingbird feeder and some flowers for me to plant a little garden since I loved the strawberry fields so much.

As I got home, I was greeted by a package on the doorstep. I didn't order anything so I thought they put the package on our step by mistake. As I looked at it though i realized it was my name on the box. I took it inside to find out that my scholarships sent me a present for graduating college. They sent me a brand new Ipad. I haven't opened it yet because I started crying again at how much they have done for me because of my dad.

I am now about to get ready for a date night with my boyfriend complete with a trip to the bookstore for me to get my next 2013 published book for one of my challenges. The feeling of pride and happiness is so strong in me I seriously am holding back tears just writing this.

I'm sorry for babbling, but I really wanted to share this day with all of you, a day that I will never forget for the rest of my life. I never expected such a perfect day and I know it is something to cherish.

Thank you all for listening if you did, you all mean alot to me too!
